Housing
Schlitterbahn
provided housing is a great option for our International
Students. Schlitterbahn contracts with three apartment
complexes, Island
Bay, Marina Landing, and The Seasons. All three
apartment complexes are conveniently located near the park
for easy access to and from work.
Female
students reside at The Seasons, which is located a short
distance from the park. These two-bedroom, two bath
apartments come fully furnished. Each bedroom has a queen
bed or two twin-sized beds, a dresser and closet. Each
apartment has at least one room with a view of the ocean.
There is a full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven,
microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher, pots and pans, utensils
for eating and preparing food, cups, bowls, and plates. The
bathrooms have full-size bathtubs with a shower and linens.
These apartments also have local phone service, a full size
washer and dryer, a color television and cable. The complex has several pools and hot tubs.
Schlitterbahn
provided housing is an affordable $75 per week. This money
is automatically deducted from the student's paycheck each
week. A deposit of $75
will be deducted from the paycheck in three $25 increments.
The deposit is refundable if the
apartment is left clean and free of damages. Deposits are not
available immediately, but will be mailed to the student in
their home country.
Male and female
students are not permitted to share Schlitterbahn provided apartments.
If a student
chooses to arrange their own housing. Schlitterbahn will be
happy to provide brochures and recommendations for
apartments in the area, but will not be able to assist with
transportation to these apartments. Students are required to obtain housing within three
days of arriving in Galveston. If students do not choose to
stay in Schlitterbahn provided housing, and are not able to locate
their own housing, they will be required to sign a housing
contract with Schlitterbahn provided housing after the three days has expired. Students are
responsible for fulfilling any contract they sign.
