Students learn as they play on these exclusive days just for school groups. Park is closed to the public.
- Schools groups complete challenging exercises in the classroom and at Schlitterbahn with the Aqua Lab Workbook.
- These special days at the park also provide the opportunity to participate in additional educational presentations and activities!
Aqua Lab Workbook
The Aqua Lab Workbook is a collection of pre-visit and in-park exercises and activities that may be utilized on any public operating day to make learning math, science and history fun! Download the Aqua Labs Workbook
Educational Presentations and Activities
- Green Building Practices—Learn about water conservation and recycling natural materials, building materials and waste products.
- The Science of Waterpark Design & Technology—A member of the Schlitterbahn design team discusses the science behind the park’s design, construction and operation.
- Educational Displays throughout the park provide even more opportunities to learn!
- Archimedes’ Screw—A huge screw pumps water to a higher elevation showing how ancient agricultural technology is adapted to create a gigantic wave!
- Waterpark History—Learn about the history of Schlitterbahn Waterparks.

Aqua Lab Lunch
Groups have the option to pre-purchase a specially discounted lunch. Meal is served 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the River Haus restaurant and includes All-Beef Hot Dogs, Potato Chips, Cole Slaw, Relishes, Sauerkraut, Iced Tea & Lemonade. All guests must have a meal wristband to enter the meal service area. Advance reservations required. Extra charge. $5.99 + tax
