Sound Waves Music Festival
May 13 & 14, 2011
Sound Waves is a music festival for beginning, middle school and high school
bands, orchestras and jazz ensembles. The festival is designed to provide a fun
and positive educational learning experience for all groups. It is a rewarding
first contest experience for young bands and orchestras, and a more challenging
opportunity for experienced ensembles.

The program features morning and
early afternoon performances leaving the rest of the day free to enjoy
Schlitterbahn Vacation Village Waterpark—Kansas City’s hottest coolest time! All
Sound Waves tickets include waterpark admission, festival admission and an award
for each group.

Registration
- Registrations are accepted
via our Sound Waves Online Registration Form. Follow the link below to
access the online form.
- A $25.00 registration fee is
due at time of registration for each performing group. The registration fee
must be received by Schlitterbahn in order for a performance time to be
reserved for each group. To pay registration fees, please follow link below
and enter promo code FESTIVAL at the bottom of the page to access the
registration payment page.
- Receipt of a completed
registration form and registration fee will confirm your reservation in
Sound Waves. Space is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Reservations made online
without payment are held for 10 business days only. Groups who wish to mail
their registration payment should register online and mail their payment
immediately to: Schlitterbahn Group Sales, 9400 State Avenue, Kansas
City, KS 66112.
- The $25.00 registration fee
does not apply to your Sound Waves ticket purchase.
- Sound Waves Registration
receipt/ticket is not valid for admission to the park.
- Registration fee is
non-refundable.
- Confirmation of performance
date and time will be sent to confirmed groups in April.

- Sound Waves Ticket Orders
and Payments are due two weeks prior to your performance date.
- Groups whose full payments
are received 10 business days prior to your visit receive one free admission ticket with every 15
Sound Waves tickets purchased.
- Additional tickets are
available for the group leader to purchase at the same price on the
performance date for extra guests.
- Contest times are subject to
change as a result of late payments.
- Unused tickets must be
returned to Schlitterbahn by May 31, 2011 to be eligible for a refund. After
May 31, Sound Waves tickets may be used at the Kansas City park for an
additional fee of $5 on any public operating day through September 5, 2011
only. No refunds or exchanges will be made at the performance site.

Perform In The Park
Bands that cannot attend the Sound Waves Music Festival can also perform in
the park in front of a live audience at Schlitterbahn on any other day
throughout the season. Reservations required.
