Kinderhaven was specially planned for families with small children. It's a shallow water playground separated from the rest of Blastenhoff's high-spirited activities, but conveniently located in the middle of all the action. Surrounded by shaded seating and open sun-lounging areas, Kinderhaven lets both kids and parents have fun. Kids will love to explore the miniature pirate ship with its slides and water cannons. Kristal River

Kristal River is one of three "endless" rivers at Schlitterbahn. By that we mean that these rivers are all at one level and form a continuous loop. Riders, therefore, can stay in them as long as they wish, being propelled along by the current. You swim, float on a tube, or on hop on the back of one of the friendly alligators that inhabit the river. Kristal River encircles the Surfenburg section and can be entered from a number of stairways located along the inner perimeter or from the adjacent Kristal Cove. For a more exciting entry to the river, try the Backsplash, a fast-flowing channel that begins near the Boogie Bahn and flows directly into the Kristal River.

Lagoon Activity Pool

Lagoon Activity Pool

The Lagoon is a huge activity pool for swimming, floating, splashing and simply having fun under the hot Texas sun. There's an in-water volleyball court, a heated swim-up refreshment bar, a rain drop, a waterfall, and nearly an acre of water for fun. Plus the Hillside Tube Chute and the Soda Straws end in the Lagoon.

The Lagoon receives its water from the adjacent spring-fed Comal River. The water is drawn from the river at the start of each day and continuously refreshed throughout the day. Water enters the lagoon on one side and flows back into the Comal River on the other. At night the pool is completely drained in preparation for the next day.
