Schlitterbahn is
now accepting applications to hire more than 300
seasonal staff members to fill summer jobs
KANSAS
CITY, Kan. – Schlitterbahn Vacation Village Waterpark is currently
accepting seasonal employment applications for the 2010 season.
Be a part of the first full season of operation at Kansas City’s
newest attraction. More than 300 seasonal staff members are needed
to fill open positions that include food and beverage personnel,
lifeguards, cashiers, retail assistants, maintenance workers,
landscaping crew and more. Potential staff members should be at
least 16 years of age and able to work throughout the summer months,
including weekends and evenings.
“We are enthusiastic about assembling the team for what is truly our
first full summer season at our new waterpark,” said Keith Fontenot,
Schlitterbahn Vacation Village Waterpark general manager. “We strive
to offer our staff members the best work experience and a
competitive compensation plan including an end of the season bonus
program.”

in the Jobs section at schlitterbahn.com starting Monday, March 8.
Those who prefer to apply in person may do so Monday-Friday, 9:00
a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Staff Services office at 1709 North 98th
Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66111. Once an application is submitted,
it is reviewed by Schlitterbahn staff and applicants are contacted
to schedule interviews.

The Schlitterbahn Vacation Village Waterpark summer season begins
May 14, 2010. The park is open Friday-Sunday, May 14-23, then daily
May 28-August 22, then weekends through Labor Day. The park offers
fantastic family amenities that include free parking and free use
inner tubes and life jackets. Guests are welcome to bring their own
picnics inside the park (no grilling, alcohol or glass containers).
Park goers are immersed in a tubing adventure as they enjoy a unique
collection of trademark Schlitterbahn innovations that are not found
at other waterparks in the Midwest. Guests experience an uphill
water coaster, two mammoth rivers including the world’s longest
tidal wave river, three huge slides, a white water tube chute, 13
mini slides for kids, three relaxing beach areas and a giant hot tub
with a swim-up refreshment bar. The Transportainment™ River System
allows tubers to travel from one end of the park to the other
through a series of attractions without ever leaving the water.
