auditions this Saturday, October 3rd at Schlitterbahn’s
Corporate Office
9 a.m. to 12 noon.
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – Join us in creating the magic of the season
at Schlitterbahn’s Hill Country Christmas. The park is now hiring
actors, singers and musicians to perform for guests at the second
annual event. Actors should prepare a one minute monologue and a
verse and chorus of their favorite Christmas carol. Auditions begin
at 9 a.m. at Schlitterbahn’s Corporate Office, 381 E. Austin St.
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels, summer home to the world’s best
waterpark, transforms the original Schlitterbahn into a dazzling
evening spectacular blanketed with more than 1.5 million lights, new
amazing attractions, new sensational shows, more festive food and
unique shopping, making this a must-see holiday family tradition.
Actors and Singers: Open Auditions Saturday, October 3rd
9 a.m. to 12 noon
New show Home for the Holidays - Four men and three women,
ages 18-40 are needed. And 3 children ages 5-7. Boys or girls
welcome to audition.
Scrooge– An actor is needed age 30+ to portray the infamous
Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge will taunt and jeer the crowd. Strong
improvisation skills are needed.
Dickens – Man age 18-50 to sing Carols with group and to duet
improv with Scrooge.
Santa Claus – Ho-Ho-Ho. An actor to play Santa Claus is
needed until December 23rd. Natural beard preferred. Previous Santa
experience a plus.
Mrs. Claus – Actress, 35+ to play Mrs. Claus. She must have
improvisation skills and be able to interact one on one with guests
of all ages. Needed only until December 23rd.
Carolers – Four (4) male and four (4) female singers are
needed to play Dickens style Christmas Carolers. Vocal
training/experience is preferred. Performers will sing four part
harmony Christmas carols and interact with guests. Individuals as
well as preformed groups are welcome to audition.
Musical Acts, Bands or Singing Groups: Auditions in September
by Appointment
Musical/Singing groups and individuals needed to entertain at park
entrance. Must know or learn a variety of Christmas music to perform
throughout the night.
We will hire one group for entire event or book per day depending on
availability.
Technicians: Interviews in September by Appointment
Entertainment Supervisor - Supervises all entertainment
during park operation, guest service as needed.
Production Stage Manager - In charge of nightly operation of
Home for the Holidays, operates sound and light boards, maintains
equipment, test equipment and report maintenance needs for show
equipment.
Entertainment Crew – Backstage crew person for Home for the
Holidays, in charge of nightly operation of show, maintain stage and
set and props, lock up props nightly, see to needs of cast and
oversee Santa.

Schlitterbahn’s Hill Country Christmas event opens for weekend
operation (Friday – Sunday) beginning Friday, November 20. The event
is open daily December 18, 2009 through January 3, 2010 (except
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). The park opens at 5pm. Closing
times vary.
Ticket prices are $17.99 for general event admission and $15.99 for
children, ages 3 – 11 and seniors 55 years or older. Taxes are not
included in the ticket prices. Discount tickets are available for
advance purchase at schlitterbahnchristmas.com. Parking is FREE!
Operating hours, dates and attraction availability are subject to
change.
