according to Amusement Today’s annual golden ticket survey
GALVESTON ISLAND, Texas
– Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Heated-Indoor Waterpark was honored
this week by being voted the World’s Best Indoor Waterpark during
the 2009 Golden Ticket Award ceremony hosted at LEGOLAND California,
Carlsbad, CA.
Nicknamed the “Academy Awards of the Amusement Park Industry,” the
Golden Ticket Awards are presented annually by Amusement Today, an
industry trade magazine based in Arlington, Texas. The winners are
determined by the results of an international survey conducted among
hundreds of well-traveled enthusiasts and amusement park
aficionados.
“We are extremely honored to earn the Golden Ticket distinction as
having the World’s Best Indoor Waterpark two years in a row,” stated

Waterpark. “Recently featured on the Travel Channel, our indoor

The 70,000 square-foot indoor, climate-controlled, convertible area
operates throughout the year and offers more than a dozen heated
waterpark attractions including four tube slides, three speed
slides, two kids’ activity areas containing a variety of children’s
play elements and pint-sized slides, a secluded beach, the Boogie
Bahn surfing ride, a hot tub and the Torrent® tidal wave river.

waterpark. More than 600 staff members are needed to fill open
positions in food and beverage, lifeguards, cashiers, retail and
more. Potential staff members should be at least 15 years old and
able to work throughout the summer months.

Saturday, April 26 for weekend operation and is proud to offer
