American Heroes Week - FAQ

Active members of the Military, Veterans, Police, 911 Dispatchers, Firefighters & EMTs will be welcomed at every Schlitterbahn Waterpark for FREE starting Memorial Day.  Here are answers to some of our more frequent questions:

When is my park celebrating American Heroes Week?

American Heroes Week kicks off Memorial Day, running from May 27 through  June 2, 2019.

Will the whole park be open?

This is the time of year where some parks have limited operation during the week. See individual park schedules for detailed information.

Is it just for members of the military?

No!  DOD employees, police, 9-1-1 operators/police dispatchers, sheriffs, border patrol, firefighters, and EMTs are all included along with members of the military from every branch.

What kind of ID do I need?

For members of the military, please bring your Active Service Branch ID including: Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard. For first responders (sheriff, firefighters, etc.), if you don’t have an official ID, please bring in a paystub along with a photo id.

Are there any other discounts available during my visit?
Yes! Present your Military ID at these locations within Schlitterbahn.

My grandson is in the Navy. Can I get in for 40% off?

We love our extended families, however, the 40% discount is for spouses and dependents only. However discounted tickets are available on most military bases!

My spouse is deployed. Can I get in for 40% off?

Yes, you can, with a spouse ID.

I’m retired military – how about me?

YES! Retired military personnel also get in free. Reserves and retired reserves are also eligible.

How about our group? Aren’t we heroes too?

We love all our community heroes! This week is designed to recognize the sacrifices of members of the military and first responders and their families.
