We are pleased that Governor Abbott’s reopening plans now include waterparks. The safety of our guests and associates has always been, and will always be, our top priority.  Schlitterbahn is preparing to reopen our properties mid-June with enhanced safety measures and operational changes throughout both of our parks. We miss you and cannot wait to welcome you back to the Hottest, Coolest Time in Texas.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) matter remains a part of our daily lives, the team at Schlitterbahn continues to work with health and safety experts as we plan for increased safety measures and operational changes throughout both our parks. We are in constant communication with our state and federal governments and are looking forward to welcoming you back just as soon as it is safe to do so.  Although our reopen date is still uncertain, here are a few things we can share:

  • Our popular annual American Heroes Week is unfortunately being postponed until further notice; however,
  • We continue to invest in and update popular areas throughout our parks, such as giving fresh new looks to Blastenhoff, Hans Hideout and Surfenburg’s Kiddie Coast; revamping food and beverage locations; remodeling and renovating our front entrance for safer and more streamlined entry into the parks; and updating restrooms at various locations; and, new outdoor furniture and shade structures are being added for enhanced “chill out” areas

As previously announced, we have extended the validity of all 2020 Season Passes and Season Pass add-on products through the 2021 season, plus we have paused the Payment Plan Program while the park is closed*.  Likewise, we will continue to work with guests who may have prepaid Spring Bonus Day single-admission tickets valid for days during our temporary park closure. Ticket inquiries may be directed to requests@schlitterbahn.com.

The safety of our guests and associates has always been and will always be our top priority. We want to assure you that when we do open, Schlitterbahn will continue to be a safe and fun environment for all.  Our team is 100% committed to this promise. And we are working alongside industry experts and government officials toward this shared goal.  We will keep you updated as we move forward; in the meantime, we thank you for your loyalty and continued support.

*2020 Season Passes and purchased 2020 Season Pass add-on products (if applicable) will be valid through the 2021 Season according to pass type. For 2020 Season Passholders participating in our Payment Plan Program, monthly billing has been suspended, and will remain suspended while the parks are closed. When the park reopens, billing will resume. Passholders will need to be current on payments to receive both 2020 and 2021 Season Pass admission and associated benefits.

Q. How does the closure impact my 2020 Season Pass?
A. Payment Plan Program Paused

For 2020 Season Passholders participating in the Payment Plan program, monthly billing has been suspended as of April 8, 2020, and will remain suspended while the park is closed. When the park reopens, billing will resume.
 
Q. If I purchase on the payment plan after 4/8/20, will my payments be suspended during the park closure?
A. Yes – you will pay the initial payment plus applicable taxes and fees at checkout and your future monthly payments will be suspended until the park reopens.

Q. When the park reopens, will my payments continue monthly or will my first payment be the amount of all the months the park was closed?
A. At this time, we are working through this process. Please continue to check back for updated information.
 
Q. Will I be notified when my payments start again and will they remain on the same date each month that they were previously?

Q. How do I make a payment before billing resumes?

Q.  May I get a refund on my park admission ticket?
A.  If you purchased a single-day admission ticket for our Spring Bonus Days that cannot be used while we are closed, we will reissue your ticket for an Any Day ticket good through September 22nd in New Braunfels or October 11th in Galveston, or we will refund your Spring Bonus Days ticket.  Unexpired single-day tickets (Any Day) may be used on any one public operating day through the 2020 Schlitterbahn operating season. The above policy also applies to specific day Blast Pass or Cabana purchases, as well as meal band and souvenir bottle purchases in conjunction with a Spring Bonus Day ticket.
