Can I bring a picnic to the park?
YES, for FREE! You are more than welcome to bring your own family picnic basket into the park, but you don't need to. If you do bring a picnic, please do not bring alcohol or glass containers. All ice chests and picnic supplies are checked upon entry. Check out the blog about Going Cooler Free, too.
Schlitterbahn partners with "Photo Haus" to take pictures of guests throughout the water park. Photos are available for purchase at kiosks near park entrances. NOTE: Photos are deleted after seven days. However, if you have recently had photos taken and still have your number, please contact Mike Davis at (830) 743-3289 or Jennifer Porter-Davis at (830) 743-3333 to see if they are still available. Please include your Name, Phone, Address, Park Location, Sticker Number, and Day of Visit.
Do I have to pay even if I don't get into the water?
Yes, with all the great water attractions at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark you won't want to stay out of the water! Besides our thrilling slides and blasters, there are relaxing pools, rivers, hot tubs, and swim-up bars. If someone in your party is over 55 please inquire with admissions staff about the "senior spectator" rate.
If I purchase a two-day pass, do I have to use it on consecutive days?
No, you may use the second day at a later date at the park where it was purchased. You must, however, use the pass prior to the end of the summer season during which it was bought. Two-day passes are not transferable or refundable and must be used by the same person for each visit.
What time does the afternoon discount rate begin?
The afternoon discount rate begins at 3:00 PM every operating day. This rate is only available on the day of admission, and is not available for pre-purchase.
Where can I get discounted tickets?
For the best discount, purchase your tickets in advance, online. Summer prepaid retail tickets may be purchased at a discount at participating Kroger, HEB, and Valero retail locations (typically located in or near the gift card area). Special discounts available for groups of 15 or more. Learn more about group programs.
Do you offer discounts to the military?
Yes, we participate with local military installations to offer discount tickets.

Tickets purchased online can quickly and easily be scanned from your mobile device using your email confirmation.
Where can I find the waterpark schedule?
What should I do with my stuff?
Schlitterbahn is typically open weekends beginning in late-April and daily starting in mid-May. Some Sundays and Weekdays in May and June feature limited operation at discounted prices. The waterpark is scheduled for full operation from June to mid-August. View online calendar for additional details.
It is best to leave important items at home. Please don't bring them into the park or leave them exposed in your car. Lock money and keys in a locker instead of keeping them in pockets where they may fall out in the rides. Schlitterbahn is not responsible for items that are lost or stolen in the park or in the parking lots. (Lockers are available for a fee. With automated locks.) Glasses/sunglasses may come off on some rides, so secure them with a neck strap (available at our gift shops).
But how do I carry around money?
Schlitterbahn offers Splash Cash cards loaded with a dollar value that you can take around with you and redeem the unused value at the end of the day. Great for food or retail items.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, guests are required to properly wear clothing designed for water recreation and swimming. T-shirts and cover ups are allowed. Swim shoes are encouraged but you will need to hold them on any body slides. Swimwear should be family-friendly and not overly revealing. Is there shade?
Natural shaded seating is provided throughout the park, but we urge everyone to protect delicate skin from the sun with sunscreen, hats, beach footwear, and lightweight shirts. You may bring these items with you or purchase them in one of our gift shops. Save yourself a spot by booking a Cabana.
What is the tram for?
Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Waterpark has two amazing sections that are separated by a few city blocks. We have trams that run all day to get you from one side to the other. Find a map of the park and both sections.
Do you have life jackets and kid's tubes available?
We have a limited number of life jackets for our guests at no charge. They're available on all of our river beaches on a first-come, first-serve basis. You may also bring your own life jacket. We do have a limited number of kid's tubes, or tubes with bottoms. Kid's tubes are complimentary and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests may not use their own recreational flotation devices in the waterpark. Personal life-jackets are always welcome!
Can my kid ride on my lap?
No. We do not allow lap riding on any rides.
What about toddlers?
Schlitterbahn does not charge admission for children under 3 years of age. Schlitterbahn has six water playgrounds for kids. For the smallest children, Schatze’s Central Park in the Kinderlund section in the West Side of Schlitterbahn and Kinderhaven in the Blastenhoff section of the East Side of Schlitterbahn have been designed with toddlers in mind. Be sure to read the attraction signs and visually observe each attraction to determine if it is suitable for your child.
Are there height requirements on the rides?
Only four rides have height requirements: the Master Blaster, Dragon's Revenge, the SkyCoaster, and the Downhill Racer. You must be at least 42 inches tall to ride these rides. Schlitterbahn uses an attraction rating system for all rides and attractions. Each attraction is coded to inform guests about the ride and the skills required. An information sign is posted at each attraction entrance with ride descriptions, thrill rating, and skills required for riding.

Do you have a lost and found?
Any one of our Guest Services locations can assist you with lost and found items. You may also call the lost and found department at 830.625.2351, ext. 1734.
What do we do if our party gets separated?
Make sure the kids who are old enough to be on their own know when and where to check in periodically for sunscreen and drink breaks. Schlitterbahn does not page for lost parties. Children should be instructed in advance that, if they do become separated, they should notify a Schlitterbahn employee. All separated parties will be taken to the nearest Guest Services location.
What if there is bad weather on the day of my visit?
Schlitterbahn will remain open on most rainy days; however, in the event of severe inclement weather, such as lightning, heavy rain, or high winds, Schlitterbahn attractions may need to close for the safety of our guests. In the event rides do shut down they will reopen as soon as it is safe. Since the waterpark remains open most rainy days, we do not offer rain checks or refunds.
