Having a great time at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is easy, but even the most die-hard Schlitterfans keep some secret tips in their back pocket to make the most of their visit. We’ve gathered some of our favorite tips here but would love to hear from you. What did we miss? What would you add?

Tip #1: Arrive Early

This is a big one. Open up the waterpark with us! Check our daily schedule to see what time we open the day of your visit and make sure to show up at least 30-45 minutes before we open to get a good parking spot and get your family ready for a fun bahntastic day.

Tip #2: Parking

Remember, parking is free at Schlitterbahn! Take a look at our parking maps and directions ahead of your day of arrival so you can plan for the best parking lot to start your experience. And don’t forget to show up at least 30-45 minutes before the waterpark opens. While we have free trams available to our guests to take you from the original section of the park to the east section, it is important to think about where you want to start and end your day. We recommend parking in the section that has your favorite rides so you can beeline there at the very beginning of your day!

Tip #3: What to Bring

We’ve already written an extensive blog on this – just for you! Head over to our packing check list to make sure you aren’t forgetting anything important for a day of fun in our waterpark. Needless to say, we go above the routine list of swimsuits, sunscreen, sunglasses, and your tickets. And remembers, coolers are welcome in our waterparks.*

Tip #4: Mapping out a Game Plan

Our busiest days of the season are in June and July. If you are coming in the peak season, remember to map out a game plan of what are the must-have rides and experiences for your family. This will help you maximize your time in the water and decrease your time standing in lines. Things to consider for your game plan should be arriving early, picking a slow day, and hitting your favorite ride first. We’ve already discussed the importance of arriving early. But picking the day that you come to the park matters, too. Wednesdays are typically our slowest days in the summer. So, consider joining us on a Wednesday. And finally – make a plan to hit your favorite rides first. We don’t want you to leave our waterpark without riding your favorite! Lines are typically the shortest within an hour of opening.

Tip #5: Purchase a Blast Pass

If you want to skip the long lines and fit more rides in your day, then the blast pass is for you! You can buy online in advance or decide to buy one day of at the Main Entrance Blast Pass Kiosk and the Surfenburg Blast Pass Kiosk. Blast pass works for most of our most popular rides including fan favorites: Master Blaster, Boogie Bahn, and Hillside Tube Chute.

We will be posting more tips as we count down until opening day – but would love to hear from YOU our Bahn family. What are some of your best tips for having the best experience and the most fun in our waterpark?
