5 Ways to Celebrate the Reopening of Schlitterbahn New Braunfels

As we are nearing the opening of our waterpark in less than 50 days, we wanted to share the best 5 ways to celebrate with bahntastic fun! The "World's Best Waterpark" opens for the 2023 season on April 7th and we hope to see you there soaking up all of the offerings of the hottest, coolest time in Texas.

 

1. Indulge in a Stuffed Turkey Leg

Named one of the "Can't Miss Amusement Park Foods" by People Magazine in 2019... this delicacy is worth ditching the new year's fitness plan for a day. Head to any B&B Barbecue location (there's 3 to choose from!) to enjoy this one of a kind turkey leg.

 

 

2. Hang Ten on the First Ever Surfing Ride 

Boogie Bahn offers endless moving mountain of water with all the excitement of ocean surfing. Surfers use our bodyboards to test their skills against 50,000 gallons of water a minute. Professional surfers from all over the world have challenged the Boogie Bahn, but you don't have to be a pro to surf at Schlitterbahn. Grab a bodyboard and try it for yourself. 

 

 

3.Chute Down Master Blaster

This ride has been voted the best water ride in the United States time and time again... for a good reason! At over six stories tall and over 1000 feet in length... this water coaster is one of a kind. Pro tip: Make this your first Schlitterbahn stop of the day and park at the East entrance.

 

 

4. Taste a Specialty Funnel Cake

We are constantly rotating our funnel cake flavors and have been known to have some delicious creations. From cookies and cream to chocolate, to funnel fries, to red velvet, we love all things funnel cake! Head to Cowabunga Chicken & Cakes or one of our several grills to satisfy that sweet tooth!

 

 

5. Don't Miss Out on our Private Cabanas!

Our cabanas provide additional privacy and relaxation all day long and come with a long list of exclusive benefits to make your day at our waterparks even better! All water park cabana rentals include a personal host, a private shaded area just for you, personal safe, bottled water, table and seating for cabana guests, and a 10% discount on select in-park Food, Beverage, and Merchandise.
