New at Schlitterbahn in 2020

This season at Schlitterbahn you might have to do a double-take during your next visit. Get ready as your experience is going to be better than ever. During the off-season, our Bahn crew has been hard at work on multiple projects throughout both parks to enhance the guest experience while maintaining the fun and unique features that make Schlitterbahn a true Texas tradition.

Over the coming weeks, we are excited to share our “Behind the Bahn” blog series with you. We’ll take you on photographic tours of the parks to explore a diverse menu of park improvements. ATTRACTION AESTHETICS AND MAINTENANCE

The Bahn crew has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everyone’s favorite rides have maximum up-time while some attractions also received fresh new looks.

SHADE AND PICNICS

“Chill out” with our upgraded outdoor furniture including new lounge chairs and picnic tables in New Braunfels. Plus, the “mushroom” umbrellas were replaced with vibrant new shade structures positioned on Blast Beach.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE LOCATIONS

We’ve improved how our great food and Texas hospitality is designed and delivered to best serve our guests, including tasty new menu items. And, you can now skip the food line and head straight to our new Souvenir Cup Refresh Stations for a quick fill and go of your favorite beverage. Plus, can you guess what delicious new food options are coming to Schlitterbahn?

RESTROOM AND SHOWER MAKEOVERS

New restrooms. Need we say more? Several high-traffic bathrooms have been totally gutted with every tile, every fixture, and every faucet replaced. But wait, the best part is these facilities have now been outfitted with air-conditioning. Have you ever watched a makeover show on HGTV? You will see, they’re really that transformative.

IMPROVED ENTRANCE EXPERIENCE

Restructured front entrances offer safer and more streamlined entry into the parks.

RESORT UPDATES AND RENOVATION

Several Schlitterbahn vacation homes and suites welcomed significant upgrades including new bathrooms and kitchens. In addition, The Resort at Schlitterbahn invested in new mattresses to aid in relaxation and comfort following a day of fun and sun at the waterpark. Guests will also notice the exterior refresh throughout the property compliments of hundreds of cans of paint.
