Schlitterbahn New Braunfels Resort Tour: The Treehauses

WAKE UP IN THE TREES!

Here at the World’s Best Waterpark, we have many different options for lodging inside our parks. One of those options is the Treehauses at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels. Yes, you read that correctly. My inner 5-year-old came out as well, so feel free to freak out. All of these rooms are above the ground resting in artificial trees in the Surfenburg section of the park. What’s cooler than waking up inside of a waterpark in a treehouse? That’s a trick question because the answer is nothing.

Check out this video tour:

These treehauses are fun for the whole family and come in four different layouts:

THREE BEDROOM

Our three-bed Treehauses fit up to ten people comfortably and are great for groups of high school or college friends or even large families. As you walk up to your room, there are picnic tables on a deck that overlooks The Falls, giving you a nice place to relax either at the start or end of the day. When you walk through the front door, you see a large, rustic-looking living room and kitchen. The dramatic vaulted ceiling in this first part of the Treehaus really makes it feel much more open, spacious, and comfortable. If you’re looking forward to sitting around with your family after a long day at the park, don’t worry, because the living room has a TV and couch for total relaxation.

Directly to the right of the doorway of the suite, there is a table with stools for 4-5 people, which is easy for dinner or just hanging out in the A/C. This table is a really nice part of the living room because its wooden stature brings the whole room together. The kitchen includes your basic essentials: a refrigerator and freezer, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, wine glasses, an oven, dishwasher, a stovetop, and a microwave. If you want to cook all of your food while staying at the Resort, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Now for our Treehaus bedrooms. The three bedrooms in this style of treehaus are very versatile for anyone. The bedrooms, sink, and bathroom are all along one small hallway just past the living room. The master features a king-sized bed, TV on the wall, plenty of storage for your belongings, and includes an attached bathroom for maximum privacy. The second bedroom is set up similarly: with a queen-sized bed, TV on the opposite wall of the bed, and two armchairs in each corner of the room for early birds who like to do some reading before the clan wakes up. This room also features a storage area with drawers on the bottom and open shelving on the top, which is great for keeping clothes nice and organized. Next door to this room is the sink area, centrally located between all of the bedrooms so that everyone has easy access, and then the bathroom and shower to the right.

The third bedroom features two queen-sized beds, which can fit multiple kiddos, a chest of drawers against the back wall for storage, and a TV hanging above it. This bedroom is on the simpler side of the Treehaus’s designs and has a large window behind the headboards giving the room some beautiful natural lighting. Overall this particular style of treehaus is great for large families full of kids, or just a large group of adults who want to bring out their inner child.

TWO BEDROOM

Our two-bedroom Treehauses are just as cool as our larger units, but for fewer people. They have all of the same amenities, and have a different, but still awesome, design to the living room. The living room and kitchen area are open-concept. The TV hangs on a wooden pillar with a couch and coffee table in front of it that doubles as a great ‘chill out’ area for the family. The kitchen includes all of the same amenities as the three-bedroom: pots, pans, microwave, oven, stovetop, coffeemaker, etc.

The first bedroom has two queen-sized beds, perfect for larger families. The second bedroom has one king-sized bed, complete with large windows above the headboard, which brings in natural light. There is plenty of storage space in these rooms if you have multiple kids who bring just about everything they own. Both rooms have their own bathrooms that way the whole family isn’t squished into one. There are also TVs in both rooms (but you’ll probably be so tired from your day at the park you won’t even have time to watch it).

This style of Treehaus is great for smaller families who are in need of a get-away, or even just a great group of friends who are looking for some bonding time!

STUDIO

The design of the studio is one of my favorite Treehauses that we have. Walking in the front door, there are bunk beds directly to the left. Whether you’re younger or older, these bunk beds will unleash your inner child. Continuing down the hallway, there is a bathroom on your right, and then the room opens out to two full-sized beds and a kitchen area. The kitchen area contains all of your basic necessities: pots, pans, microwave, oven, stovetop, coffeemaker, etc. Both of the beds face sliding doors that lead outside to a large deck with a picnic table (because who doesn’t want to wake up to the beautiful view of the waterpark?). This style of the room is perfect for a family with kids of all ages who can’t wait to go to bed after a long day at the World’s Best Waterpark!

DOUBLE THE FUN

Lastly, we have the famous two-story Treehaus. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s a two-story Treehaus. As if the Treehauses themselves weren’t cool enough already, we made one that’s twice as cool! This monster suite is the perfect getaway for newlyweds or just vacationing with family or friends. The first floor has the same kitchen amenities as the other styles of rooms (pots, pans, microwave, oven, stovetop, coffeemaker, etc.), and has a living room with a TV and some comfortable chairs and couches around it that are great for relaxing or napping. The first floor also includes a beautiful room with a queen-sized bed with a TV and has a bathroom next door to it. Going up the grand wooden staircase, you will see the bedroom (with a bathroom inside to the left) with a king-sized bed in the middle of the large room. This bedroom is spacious and readily fits all of your belongings (and if you’re like me, you’ll need as much space for your things as possible). The views of the waterpark from the bedroom are breathtaking and allow you to appreciate waking inside a waterpark!

Our Treehauses are truly the bee’s knees when it comes to staying inside of a waterpark. There is something for everyone no matter how large or small the group is, and no matter the age!
